All steel products in close proximity to river, ocean or near pool, manufacturers recommend E/Prime prior the final coat to maximise longevity.

Previously powder coated products can be repowder coated to a different colour but will never be the same finish as 1st coat. Some blemishes (especially when powder coating lighter colour on top of daeker colour) will be visible and we offer no warranties aginst this.

Once powder coated product is reworked, i .e. screwed, drilled or cut, these areas are targets for corrosion and must be sealed appropriately from moisture immediately.

FAQs

What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a type of protective and decorative coating that is applied to metals (such as aluminium and steel), electrostatically as a dry powder and then cured in an oven. The curing process heats the dry powder allowing it to flow and form a tough solid film. Powder application does not require a solvent and is VOC free making it a less hazardous coating with environmental advantages.
To get the very best result, powder coating has to be done on a clean surface. The paint has to be totally stripped off by either sandblasting, soda blasting or with chemicals prior to powder coating.
